THE DIRECTOR
Jasmine Gervais aspired very early to thrive in the film industry. At the dawn of her 18th birthday, she directed a feature film documentary “Xtrêm North”, produced in collaboration with the TV series "Je vis ta vie". This will earn her the Governor General of Quebec's Annapurna badge for the completion of an outstanding project. Jasmine also standed out thanks to the direction of several short films, both in film (“Twit”, “Son of the Preacher”)
and digital (“Moon Shadow”). She began her professional career as a trainee 3rd assistant
director on the popular French Canadian TV series “Les Hauts et les Bas de Sophie Paquin III".
In addition to her love for screenwriting and directing, Jasmine has a strong interest in the management of cultural productions. One of the main founder of the production house "Orangerine Productions", she also worked as the assistant to the TV and international distribution director at TVA Films, one of the major film distribution company in Quebec. Since the career of “Son of the Preacher” is now well underway, Jasmine is currently working on her next short film: “Walls”, a relational-flavored comedy starring one of Quebec’s most promising rising star Catherine De Léan.
